The Library of Rush University Medical Center uses the E-Res software package from Docutek, Inc. to place journal article and book chapter course reserves online. The software is web-based and can be accessed from the Library home page. The software also allows links to websites and e-books that instructors require for their students.
Each course is protected by a unique password. This password must be entered to retrieve materials on reserve. By entering the password into the system, students agree to copyright provisions.
The library cannot provide course passwords. If you do not know your course's e-Reserves password, contact your instructor.
The Library places books and selected exams from past semesters on reserve for classes at the request of faculty members. Students may check out books and old exams at the Library Services Desk for use in the library.
Students may also check out reserve multimedia materials at the McCormick Educational Technology Center (METC) Service Point. For more assistance with multimedia reserves, ask at the METC Service Point or call (312) 942-6799.
