NEW! Featured Resources! The Library of RUMC has launched a program highlighting our electronic resources, one at a time. We begin this series with CINAHL, one of our most popular databases.
What is it? CINAHL stands for the Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature. It is a collection of almost six million records in an easy-to-search format.
Why use it? Easy-to-use search boxes let you retrieve peer-reviewed articles and citations, focusing on nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant studies and other allied health fields.
Bonus: Do you need to earn Continuing Education credits? CINAHL has online modules for just that purpose. CINAHL also offers evidence-based “Patient Care Sheets” which feature pointers on the latest healthcare information on over 200 medical conditions.
Want to learn more? Attend our webinar Tuesday April 17th at 11:00! Just login from the library’s website. Our website also has video tutorials and step-by-step printable instructions.
