Welcome to the Library of Rush University Medical Center: Home
The Library will be moving its circulation book collection to a new location on Saturday, August 17 and Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
This will require staff to repeatedly pass through the 7th Floor Quiet Study Area. While every effort will be made to keep noise to a minimum, visitors should be prepared for noise and other distractions. Please be aware that additional study areas are located on the 5th floor.
The database search allows you to locate relevant databases by title and keyword. To browse our databases by subject area, select the desired discipline from the “Browse Databases by Subject” drop-down menu.
Searching the catalog finds books and other materials held by Rush.
Borrowing books from other libraries
To search for resources at other I-Share libraries, select “All I-Share Libraries” from the drop-down menu. I-Share includes 80+ academic and institutional libraries in Illinois which lend books to the Library of Rush University Medical Center patrons.
What can I borrow from libraries in the I-Share Network?
Most books held by other libraries in the I-Share network can be borrowed by Rush patrons, but libraries may choose not to lend books in their Reserve and Reference collections.
Can I borrow e-Books and e-Journals through I-Share?
e-Books and e-Journals can't be borrowed through I-Share and are by default excluded from your results. Check "Show e-Resources to which I don't have access" to include electronic resources at other libraries in your search results. To request journal articles and book chapters which are held by other other libraries, make an Interlibrary Loan request.
