We’d like to announce that Scott Thomson, MS, MLIS, AHIP, has accepted the position of director of the Library of Rush University Medical Center. Mr. Thomson is coming to us from Rosalind Franklin University, where he has served as library director since 2013. Mr. Thomson joined Rush on February 24th.
In his tenure at Rosalind Franklin, Mr. Thomson modernized the library to reflect the needs and future demands of health sciences libraries. His work there inspired our library staff to visit Rosalind Franklin last year to learn about modernization of health sciences libraries.
Mr. Thomson earned a bachelor’s degree from DePaul University, a master of library and information science from Dominican University and a master of science in health administration from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.
