Screening the Title and Abstract

Once all your citations are uploaded, you are ready to screen the title and abstract of each citation.  This is an important step in conducting a thorough literature review, as it is beginning the process of narrowing down the articles you will use in your paper.  You can stop screening at any point;  Covidence will remember where you left off.

Covidence allows you to have more than one person screen the titles/abstracts.  In fact, it is recommended.  To specify which reviewers are going to be screeners, follow instructions here:   https://support.covidence.org/help/team-settings

It is possible to have just one person screen the titles/abstracts.  To specify only one reviewer, follow these steps:  https://support.covidence.org/help/switching-from-dual-to-single-reviewer-mode
