Do You Know the Exact Item You Want?

Is it print?

  • Use the red Catalog tab on the Library's home page.  

Is it an electronic book? 

  • To search by title or ISBN, click the orange eBooks tab to search by title or ISBN 
  • To search by subject
    • Search the catalog, using the red catalog tab on our homepage.To limit to eBooks only, click "electronic books" under the heading "Genre" in the right hand column.
    • Browse our eBook databases. Click "All databases" in the Quick Links box. In the Database Types drop-down menu, select eBooks.

Is it an electronic journal article?

  • To search by journal title or ISSN, click the purple eJournals tab to search by journal title or ISSN
  • To search by subject, click the red Catalog tab .

Is it something your professor put on reserve?

  • Is it print material?  If so, pick up at the library (5th floor, AAC)
  • Is it electronic?  If yes, then look on the home page; it’s under Services

Is it equipment, such as a projector? 

  • Check at the McCormick Educational Technology Center (METC) Services Desk on the 9th floor of the Armour Academic Center.

Do You Know the DOI?

The DOI, or Digital Object Identifier, can be a big help in locating an item.  A DOI might look like this:  10.1007/s00436-016-5037-y  If you know the DOI of your item, you can locate the article in two ways:
