Search the Catalog

Search for books, journals, and multimedia materials available at the Library of Rush University Medical Center and through I-Share, a consortium of 100+ libraries in the state of Illinois. You will be notified by email, usually within 5 business days, that your material is ready for pickup at the Library of Rush University Medical Center's Services Desk (Suite 571 in the Armour Academic Center, 600 S. Paulina St., Chicago, IL 60612). You may also borrow in person from any I-Share library with your Rush employee or student ID.

Renew your Materials

Patrons wishing to renew Rush University & I-Share materials can do so through the I-Share catalog. Library of Rush University Medical Center books can be renewed three times. For questions about renewals of I-Share materials, please contact the lending Library. I-Share Library information can be found here.

Registering with the Library entitles patrons to check out books and other materials from the Library. Registration can be done online, in person, or over the phone. Patrons must be registered before borrowing or requesting books from Rush or another I-Share library or placing interlibrary loan requests.

Students are automatically registered with the Library. Faculty, staff, and other affiliates should complete the borrower registration form, or call the Library Services Desk at (312) 942-5950.

Lost Items

Both Rush and I-Share borrowing privileges will be suspended until the item is replaced or lost item fees are paid to the lending library. For questions regarding lost items, please contact the Circulation Manager, Toby Gibson, at (312) 942-2279 or
